Established by the Oxygen Alliance, The Journal of Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies for Low- and Middle-Income Countries (BEST-LMIC) exists to stimulate and promote local innovation addressing local needs, sharing knowledge relevant to the development, refinement, evaluation, and use of medical devices in and for low- and middle-income countries.  The Journal will create a pathway for the development of the BEST medical devices for LMICs. The Journal is peer-reviewed, open access, and requires no monetary payment for publication.
